Before Atlantic Records/Warner Music Nashville’s Michael Ray landed in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota to take the stage at WE Fest yesterday, the Country singer, songwriter and entertainer stopped off in Chicago Tuesday (8/1) afternoon to throw out the first pitch at the Cubs’ Wrigley Field, a team he passionately supports.

“Watching the athleticism of the players and the teamwork of an organization like the Cubs is so inspiring,” says the Florida-native who has landed two singles at the top of the Country charts since moving to Nashville to pursue music. “The energy from the crowd when you’re on that mound coupled with the anticipation of that first pitch… it is just insane. What an experience!”

The Cubs even tweeted “Sing a little more.” alluding the Ray’s second No. 1 single “Think A Little Less,” after the visit.

Ray has toured non-stop in 2017 while recording a new album, the first taste of which has made its way to fans–notching  the No. 1 most-added slot last week with “Get To You.”

Stay tuned for soon to be released details on his new headlining “Get To You Tour”! For more information, visit michaelraymusic.com.
