Curtis Braly Releases Electric New Single “That Should Be Me”

Breakout Country artist, Curtis Braly, released his new single “That Should Be Me” today, Friday, June 4. Written by Kylie Sackley (Sam Hunt, Keith Urban, Alan Jackson, Faith Hill) and Thomas Finchum, the energetic and upbeat track features Curtis’ spot-on vocal performance accompanied by a clever and engaging lyrical storyline. The summertime anthem enjoyed a worldwide exclusive on Wide Open Country.

“For me, the goal is to always put out a song that resonates with everyone,” Braly exclusively told Wide Open Country. “Plus, I wanted something that would allow me the opportunity to push the envelope a bit within the country music genre when it came to the music video. I’m hoping ‘That Should Be Me’ will become a bit of a night-out summer anthem.”

A proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, Curtis’ release comes just in time for Pride month. An advocate for equality and inclusivity in the country genre, with this release, Curtis encourages acceptance and love for all within the country music community.

The Texas native has shared the stage with a multitude of artists including country icon Dolly Parton, Tanya Tucker, Daryl Singletary and more. A seasoned storyteller and gifted vocalist, Braly recorded his third CD, ‘You Matter’ with Kent Wells, famed music producer and director for Parton. He’s also worked alongside the renowned, Grammy nominated producer Sal Oliveri (Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney, Brett Eldredge, Garth Brooks). With a quarter of million Spotify streams alone, Curtis’ music offers a breath of fresh air to the country music world. He is currently working on more new music and exciting new projects to come in 2021.
