The “Silver Pompadour” Will Perform Tracks From His
Brand-New Instrumental Album, The Memphians
Nashville, Tenn. — The man who Rolling Stone proclaims the “honky-tonk hero,” Dale Watson, will be hosting his own half-hour concert on SiriusXM’s Outlaw Country (Ch. 60) tomorrow, March 12 at 12 p.m./ET.
The live recording will take place at Watson’s own honky tonk, Hernando’s Hideaway, in Memphis, Tennessee, the birthplace and inspiration behind his newly-released album, The Memphians (BFD / Audium Nashville) – his first instrumental-only project. During the show, listeners will get an exclusive opportunity to hear Watson’s new music as well as some fan favorites.
With tracks like “Agent Elvis,” “Deep Eddy,” and “Hernando’s Swang,” Watson’s new record honors the music of Memphis, the late, revered Elvis Presley, the legendary guitarist Duane Eddy, and Watson’s Hernando’s Hideaway, where Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis have both performed.
The exclusive performance will re-air on Saturday, March 13 at 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m./ET and again on Sunday, March 14 at Noon p.m. and 9:00 p.m./ET.
