Dani Rose’s ‘California’ Anthem Highlights the Glitz and Grit of The Golden State

Rose‘s latest track is an ode to her prior residence,
reminiscent of timeless classics ‘Walking In Memphis’ and ‘New York, New York’

NASHVILLE, Tenn.  Dani Rose has released her latest single, “California,” today Wednesday, July 24. With her signature western edge and a nod to the original Bakersfield country rock sound, Rose reinvents traditional country music in a way only she can. In this single, an iconic melody reminiscent of Sheryl Crow’s “All I Wanna Do” melds story-driven lyricism akin to the timeless classic “New York, New York” by Sinatra, resulting in country music’s latest earworm.

Dani Rose masterfully weaves her country roots with electrifying pop and rock elements, creating a track that’s as refreshing as it is rebellious. “California” is an insightful peek at the glamorous yet challenging lifestyle of California’s most alluring cities. The song humorously suggests that if you can’t find happiness in California, you won’t find it anywhere – but digs deeper to reveal the sometimes ugly truths of the pursuit of stardom. Like other odes to New York, San Francisco and Memphis, “California” honors its residents, capturing the highs and lows of pursuing dreams in the Golden State.

“California captures my wild ride out West – the good, the bad, and everything in between. It’s a quirky, heartfelt song dedicated to my former home, blending joy, heartbreak, and a dash of humor,” Dani shares enthusiastically.

you won’t be happy anywhere
the road is gold and the weather’s gorgeous
there’s no place like California
If you can’t be happy here
you won’t be happy anywhere
we’re acting like we can afford it but we’re all broke in California”
