“Back Burner” focuses on a dead-end relationship, characterized by one person leading on another and continually neglecting them. The song ends on a high note where the girl eventually acknowledges the stale state of the relationship she’s in and boldly walks away. The acoustic country instrumentation in “Back Burner’s” production brings familiarity to Danielle’s listeners, while the modern rock and pop elements create a fresh up-beat rock infused sound. The song’s production is drenched with confidence and the lyrics and melody drive that confidence home.

Danielle wanted to create a video visualizing the fierce sounds heard in “Back Burner”. The video was shot in the western town of Joshua Tree, California, perfectly capturing the main concept in the video – walking so far away from a relationship that she wound up in a secluded desert. With visions of fire, the music video features Zor, a flame thrower/dancer, who adds a very strong and fearless component to the video. The Canadian country singer-songwriter stopped at no odds when it came to filming the video during one of the hottest weeks in the desert. With director Justin Kelly, CEO of Hollywood Video Creative, behind the scenes Danielle saw her ideas come together right before her eyes. Justin has produced an array of short films and commercials, working with notable celebrities including Jim Carrey, Jordan Peele, Jessica Marias, Rob Riggle and many more. He’s also known for directing music videos for Avang Music and Spinnin’ Records such as “Can’t Slave Me” and “Saraab”.

“The music video conveys confidence, attitude and I wanted it to be as sexy as the song is,” said Danielle Todd, Canadian country singer-songwriter. “With the support of an amazing crew I truly think we captured that.”
