Marking the release of new album, WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME,
3x GRAMMY winner will play Charleston for the first time in 4 years
CHARLESTON, S.C. – As he prepares for the October 20 release of his long-awaited fifth studio country album, When Was The Last Time, Darius Rucker naturally found himself asking when was the last time he did some of his favorite things, including headlining a full-band show in his own beloved hometown of Charleston, South Carolina. To that, he is happy to announce today that he will take the stage for the first time in over four years on October 22 at Volvo Car Stadium on Daniel Island.
“Charleston means so much to me and my family, as – intentional or not – our great city serves in many ways as the inspiration for and as the backdrop of the music I write and create, and as an extension, this album. I feel incredibly fortunate to get to play for my hometown on its release weekend,” the singer shares.
The first taste of new music has already been met with commercial success, with the first single “If I Told You” becoming his 8th No. 1 country single, produced by Ross Copperman (Dierks Bentley, Brett Eldredge, Keith Urban). The album’s second single, a song Rucker wrote with Derek George and Travis Hill, “For The First Time,” is at Country radio now.
When Was the Last Time arrives in stores October 20 and is available for preorder now at http://umgn.us/
Tickets to the October 22 show went on sale to the general public on Friday, August 18 HERE.
