Nashville, Tenn., — Country newcomer Dave McElroy has released his music video for his single, “Trucker Hat,” exclusively with Cowboys & Indians Magazine. By including his real-life friends and farm-life roots in the video, McElroy captured a slice of life and set it to a super-charged song. View the exclusive video premiere HERE.
“We had such a great time creating this music video,” says McElroy. “I just grabbed a bunch of my friends and we did what we do. It’s not acting. It’s just me, being in the moment.”
Produced by Vuza Media and directed by TJ Casey, the music video begins with McElroy stuck in the middle of a field, his tractor broke down. From there the music leads us to something a little less realistic but much more delightful: a winsome country girl pulls up in her Silverado and chauffeurs him to another field, where a bunch of his friends are popping cold ones while dancing to the song’s infectious groove. Trucks circle the scene — a living frame around an enticing picture.
McElroy is as real as they come, singing about life as he lives it and it’s working. The new single has over 100k streams and growing.
