New Single Impacts Country Radio 10/16

NASHVILLE, TN – Out of brokenness, Delta Rae find solace with their intimate new video for “No Peace in Quiet,” which premiered Thursday (10/12) exclusively with Taste of Country and The Boot before the song hits Country radio airwaves today (10/16). Band member Eric Holljes (piano) crafted the achingly beautiful song alongside Tiffany Goss and Adam Wood just after he abruptly moved from North Carolina to Nashville following a crushing breakup that left so many haunting memories even in simple daily routines. Filmed in a sparsely-lit warehouse at night in Nashville, director Mason Dixon highlights the six-piece troupe’s rich harmonies and vulnerable lyrics. Watch the video and the story behind it here – http://smarturl.it/NPIQ_Video

“I’ve been incredibly moved by the outpouring of stories and connection from our fans after they’ve heard this song,” expressed Eric. “These words were part of my story after a romantic relationship ended but life can be really hard and loss is a universal experience for all of us no matter the circumstances surrounding it. We often don’t know how to talk about it because it can be so painful, and as a consequence, we each feel alone in our loss. I hope that as this song makes its way out into the world, people will hear it and not feel alone, and that there might be some catharsis or healing that comes after.”

Music Row raved of the single, “Everything this band does is deliciously melodic and oh-so catchy. This gorgeous ballad is another perfect gem. Make room for this on your playlists, please.”

This firsthand heartbreak made it difficult for Eric to get through singing it in the studio. He asked his bandmate and friend of 20 years, Liz Hopkins to jump in with lead vocals and the song filled with despair turned into magic as her vocals vividly regret, “I hear you singing in the shower. I hear you breathing in my bed. But there’s nothing I hear louder. Than the words I never said.”  Taste of Country surmises, ”…the group brings the song to life with a delicate, emotional performance that perfectly balances the melodic, vocal and instrumental aspects of the music.”

Adding to the personal nature of “No Peace In Quiet,” Eric carved a statement piece for the four singers of Delta Rae – also featuring Holljes siblings Brittany and Ian – to gather around when performing the song live. The Red Oak mic stand featured in the video made its stage debut last month at the band’s Nashville show at Exit/In, where Mike McKee (drums) and Grant Emerson (bass) joined their musical comrades.
