A LONG AND HAPPY LIFE SUMMER TOUR Kicks Off May 19

NASHVILLE, TN – Proving the “lead by example” adage to be true, DELTA RAE will celebrate educators throughout their A LONG AND HAPPY LIFE SUMMER TOUR. The six-piece band comprised of Hölljes siblings – Brittany (lead vocals), Eric (vocals, piano) and Ian (vocals, guitar) – along with former teachers Liz Hopkins (lead vocals), Mike McKee (drums) and Grant Emerson (bass) has announced Tickets For Teachers, offering free tickets and an on-stage acknowledgement to deserving individuals at each of their shows. The personal initiative is rooted in gratitude for those who have inspired the band and an opportunity to use their platform to spotlight the contributions, sacrifices and hard work of all teachers. “We started Tickets for Teachers to honor educators who inspire and challenge us to be the best versions of ourselves. If not for the teachers in our lives, Delta Rae wouldn’t be doing what we love or sharing our music with you,” explained Hopkins.

Delta Rae’s title track lead single from their A LONG AND HAPPY LIFE EP (The Valory Music Co.) draws its title and inspiration from Ian’s former English professor, renowned southern author, and dear friend Reynolds Price. The Durham, NC-based band often draws on literature across their catalogue of songs and fittingly chose their moniker from a mythical story the Hölljes’ mother crafted about a Southern girl named Delta Rae.

Taking their stories and larger-than-life stage show to fans on the road, Delta Rae embark May 19 and venture across the country for over 50 headline dates. They have previously performed at major festivals such as Bonnaroo, Farm Aid, Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits, in addition to national attention from NPR, The Washington Post, The New York Times and Forbes. Tickets are on sale now at deltarae.com/.
