Dolly Hits #1 on iTunes Children’s Song Chart
Nashville, TN – There is no greater worldwide ambassador for Country music than Dolly Parton, so when it came time to build the marketing campaign for Parton’s inaugural children’s project, I Believe in You (Dolly Records/RCA Nashville/Sony Music Worldwide), reaching Parton’s broad fan base made sense.
To support the release which is now available at digital partners HERE and physical retailers on October 13, Sony and Parton have partnered with iHeartMedia, Premiere Networks, and the Ask Anything chat platform to allow fans of all ages to ask the legend questions. Coinciding with this announcement on Friday (9/29), the renowned entertainer was trending #1 and #2 on iTunes Children’s Song chart with the title track and “Coat of Many Colors” from the new album.
Due to Parton’s status as a cultural icon, iHeart & Premiere decided for the first time to feature custom Ask Anything chats across their 7 participating syndicated shows: The Bobby Bones Show; Cody Alan’s portfolio of shows (CMT All Access, CMT After Midnite, CMT Radio LIVE); On with Mario Lopez; Most Requested Live with Romeo; and Sixx Sense with Nikki Sixx.
“Any time I get the chance to connect with my fans and answer their questions I enjoy it,” says Parton, whose run of Billboard chart hits spans six decades. “When I learned iHeart wanted to team with us to launch this album, I was thrilled since all the proceeds help get books in the hands of children.”
Fans can submit questions for Dolly now at www.askanythingchat.com.
Remarks Dave Reynolds from Ask Anything Chats, “Dolly is the perfect artist (and first artist EVER) to do Ask Anything Chats across all of our platorms. Thanks to Jennifer Leimgruber, EVP of Entertainment Programming, Premiere Networks/iHeartMedia, for encouraging and supporting these larger than life fan interactions. Thanks to Romeo, Cody Alan, Nikki Sixx, Bobby Bones and Mario Lopez for supporting Dolly’s Imagination Library.” Reynolds adds, “Finally, to Dolly Parton, you represent true kindness and compassion that’s inspired me for years. Thank you for all you do.”
Featuring 14 tracks, all written and performed by Parton, the physical I Believe In You album is currently available for pre-order HERE.
Proceeds from the project will benefit Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, a program of The Dollywood Foundation, which has sent over 100 million books to children from birth to 5 years of age in participating counties across the U.S., Canada, UK, and Australia. To further support the cause and the corresponding album, iHeart will be highlighting the Dolly project on their socials. Parton will make her first in-studio appearance on The Bobby Bones Show on Monday, October 9.
