INAUGURAL BAYOU STOCK RAISES $30,000 TO BENEFIT LOCAL KIDS IN NEED
SMALL TOWN ANTHEM “NOTHING TO DO TOWN” OUT NOW,
NOTHING TO DO TOWN TOUR KICKS OFF JANUARY 17
NASHVILLE, TENN. — Curb Records hitmaker DYLAN SCOTT put his big heart on display Wednesday (12/19), playing Santa Claus with gifts purchased following the success of his inaugural BAYOU STOCK fundraising concert (11/17).
Inspired by his hometown hero, Tim McGraw, and the long-running Swampstock concerts McGraw organized in the late ‘90s and early 2000s, BAYOU STOCK raised over $30,000 for Northeast Louisiana kids in need. Using the funds to buy gifts for 70 hand-selected families in the area, he was joined by his wife Blair and son Beckett as the presents were passed out, with smiling faces making all his effort worth it.
“I am absolutely thrilled to be able to give back to my hometown community and bring some much needed joy to these families,” shared Scott. “I couldn’t have done it without the numerous donors and the 4,000 fans who attended the first Bayou Stock and made this all possible. I look forward to making this an even bigger event in the coming years.”
Check out KNOE News’ (Monroe, LA) coverage of the special occasion here.
Joined by Mark Chesnutt, Morgan Evans, Lainey Wilson and more, BAYOU STOCK was held in Sterlington, Louisiana, and marked one of the largest country festivals to hit the area in over 10 years.
Up next, Scott will return to national television and the syndicated morning show Live With Kelly And Ryan the day after Christmas (12/26), delivering a special performance of his PLATINUM-certified #1, “My Girl.”
Earlier this month he was named to the elite NEW FACES showcase lineup for the 2019 Country Radio Seminar in Nashville February 15 – highlighting him as one of the most promising acts of the coming year – and on January 17 Scott will kick off his headlining 2019 NOTHING TO DO TOWN TOUR. Featuring 19 dates with special guest Seth Ennis, the run begins in New York City and will also visit markets like Cincinnati, OH; Detroit, MI; Minneapolis, MN; Nashville, TN; and Orlando, FL, before wrapping on February 23 in Charlotte, NC.
