Chart-Rising Single “My Girl” Passes 22 Million Spotify Plays
“Sleeping Beauty” Valentine’s Video Racks Up Over 1 Million YouTube/Facebook Views
Nashville, Tenn. (February 21, 2017) – Curb Records breakout artist Dylan Scott is set to kick 2017 into high gear, announcing his MY TOWN TOUR – 19 headlining dates taking place this spring nationwide.
Beginning February 25 in Salt Lake City, the rising star with the rumbling vocals will visit major markets like Detroit, Las Vegas, Orlando and more on his MY TOWN TOUR, named after a cut on his self-titled Top 5 debut album. Scott will also make a milestone appearance at Stagecoach Festival – the West Coast’s premiere country music festival – in Indio, California, on April 28, and the MY TOWN TOUR wraps the following night (4/29) in San Diego.
After performing more than 125 shows in 2016, Scott’s first round of concerts in the new year have already seen undeniable success, pointing toward the huge year to come as shows sell out in Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, and more.
At his sold-out show Saturday night (2/18) in Indianapolis, Scott got the first taste of just how huge 2017 could be. Surprised onstage by staff members from Curb Records and Curb Publishing, along with Vice President/GM of The Curb Group, Taylor Childress, Scott was presented with a commemorative plaque for surpassing 1,000,000 streaming equivalent songs sold. This equates to a combination of on-demand streaming and digital downloads, which is led by his romantically-charged chart-rising single, “My Girl.”
“This achievement is the result of the incredible hard work and dedication that Dylan, his entire band and crew, manager Howard Fields and all the employees of Curb Records and Curb Publishing have poured into this incredible album,” Childress said. “The trajectory of Dylan’s success will lead to many more monumental moments like we witnessed tonight.”
Humbled and moved by the gesture, Scott chose to include his fans in his triumphant accomplishment, holding the plaque up high and telling the crowd, “Y’all did this!”
Meanwhile, another salute to his fans has also taken off. Responding to more than a year of requests, Scott filmed and premiered a touching video for his love song, “Sleeping Beauty,” which has already been viewed more than 1.2 million times on YouTube and Facebook since its release on Valentine’s Day. Scott wrote the tender ballad with country hitmaker Lee Brice and producer Matt Alderman.
