Teen Prodigy Performs Original Song, “Danny Ray,”
As Featured In The Award-Winning Documentary, “The King”
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Critically acclaimed teen prodigy, singer/songwriter, EmiSunshine, will celebrate another milestone in her bright music career. The fourteen-year-old Tennessee native received the invitation to appear for a second time this season on NBC’s “Little Big Shots-Starring Steve Harvey.” Emi will appear on the show scheduled to air Thursday evening, July 5, 2018 (8 p.m. Eastern/7 p.m. Central).
Emi first appeared on the Emmy-nominated show (co-created by Steve Harvey and Ellen DeGeneres) in April (Episode 106, “Little Miss Sunshine”); she wowed the audience with her knockout rendition of Dolly Parton’s timeless classic “Jolene.” In her upcoming second appearance in the July episode, Emi will perform an original song, “Danny Ray,” one of three songs written by the young songstress highlighted in soundtrack for the award-winning documentary, “The King” (Eugene Jarecki) which debuted in May 2018 in Nashville and will premiere later this month in New York City. The film was first chosen for the prestigious Sundance Film Festival and premiered at Cannes Film Festival where Emi performed. Emi also makes a cameo appearance in the film alongside a colorful cast of characters, most notably, Steven Baldwin, Ethan Hawke, James Carville, Emmylou Harris, John Hiatt, Roseanne Cash and others.
