NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Friday morning, rising hitmaker Erik Dylan appeared on Coffee, Country & Cody to discuss the release of his latest album, Heart of a Flatland Boy, today, Friday, October 21. The project, which Dylan produced alongside Randy Montanna and Paul Cossette at OmniSound Studios, was written in entirety by Dylan and a handful of his favorite songwriters including Montanna, Driver Williams, Douglas Waterman, Westin Davis, Andrew DeRoberts, Jake Mitchell, and Adam James.
Describing Heart of a Flatland Boy, Dylan says,”This album is 100% organic. No fluff. No bullshit. I played guitar and tracked vocals live with the band in the studio and I truly love what happened. It’s not perfect–and I didn’t want it to be perfect. I wanted it to be me.”
Most recently known for co-writing “My Kind” off of country music superstar Kip Moore’s latest EP, Underground, Dylan was originally discovered by Moore and has had cuts from many other country music mainstays, including Eric Paslay, Justin Moore, and Eli Young Band. The singer-songwriter has also shared the stage with some of the biggest names in music, such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Reckless Kelly, Emmylou Harris, and Rodney Crowell.
