Up and coming country artist Kendall Gary has been one busy lady. The Lewisville, Texas native, who is currently in the process of earning her Music Business degree as a full-time student while writing and producing her own music, is now set to release “Barefoot Country Mile,” the fourth single from her upcoming album out September 14.
Gary’s vocals, reminiscent of vintage Taylor Swift, are showcased in the up-tempo single about the values she was taught while growing up in the south, such as being grateful, appreciating hard work, and lending a helping hand:
Always think twice before you complain
And never book a ticket on the lazy train
Daddy showed me what hard work means
And momma taught me right from wrong
Now a barefoot country mile don’t seem so long
