Practically singing since birth, Alison Elena knew early on she had music flowing through her veins. By the age of six, she was performing locally and by 19 she was writing music and playing guitar. Six years ago the New York native made it to Hollywood as a contestant of American Idol, gaining more exposure for herself and her band to grow their fan base. In 2015, she made the move to Nashville and within three years she released two singles, an EP and formed songwriting relationships with some of Music City’s best. This past October, Elena released her most recent single “Practice” – a mature, emotional track that showcases her vocal talents surrounded by the classic sounds of mandolin and acoustic guitar – and today she is premiering the music video exclusively with The Country Note.
“It’s hard being in a relationship with someone who isn’t ready to make a mature commitment,” says Elena. “To watch someone move on and finally grow into what you needed them to be, but for someone else, is a unique kind of heart break. To me, this song is bittersweet and that is the story I wanted the video to convey.”
