“This song is edgy distortion meets old school cool. I couldn’t think of a better up-tempo song to release after two back-to-back #1 singles. Whether it’s radio or rodeo, this song embodies the story of my own
Honky Tonk Highway.” – Case Hardin
Radio or rodeo, Case Hardin is in familiar territory. The San Angelo, Texas native grew up around ranching and rodeos, and fell in love with music while a senior in high school. That love led him to American Idol in 2013 and since he has earned those two back-to-back #1 singles on Texas Regional Radio (“Alcohol Abuse” and “When You Roll That Way”) and toured with some of Texas’ biggest stars including ::takes breath:: Aaron Watson, Pat Green, Eli Young Band, Parker McCollum, Cody Johnson, Kyle Park, Randall King, Casey Donahew, Roger Creager, Mike Ryan, Josh Ward, Cory Morrow, Jason Boland, Radney Foster and Tracy Byrd. Earlier this summer Hardin released his latest single “Honky Tonk Highway“ off his new album Lucky Him and today he is premiering the official lyric video exclusively with The Country Note.
“For the “Honky Tonk Highway” lyric video, I wanted it to be different,” says Hardin. “I wanted this to be something that both new and existing fans could get excited about. Both the song and the video, to me, not only helps portray where I come from, but it also shows where we are headed on future Honky Tonk Highways.”
The animated video features a cartoony font as the song’s lyrics float by while a pickup drives along a continuous Honky Tonk Highway as the Texas sun rises and sets.
