Florida’s Cypress Spring is the “it” hang out spot for locals to have fun and cool off from the Sunshine State’s rays. If you were to take that atmosphere and put it to music, you’d get Paul Roche, Kalan Miller and Tyler Ackerman’s alt-country trio, appropriately named Cypress Spring. Mixing their influences from Haggard and Lynryd Skynrd to Ludacris and Nelly, Cypress Springs brings an interesting fusion to the country realm. With the group’s second album American White Trash set for release on October 12 via Average Joes Entertainment, Cypress Springs is releasing their next single, “Whiskey’s Always Strong.”
Written by Kalan Miller, “Whiskey’s Always Strong” tells the story of someone who finds comfort from his troubles in a bar, perhaps too much comfort; he stays past last call but whenever he sees a photo of a person he misses (girlfriend, friend, it’s not made clear) he’s able to push on. “when I see your picture on the wall, it helps me to carry on and nothing more than I wanna do than one more round with you.”

In case these guys already sound a bit familiar, you might recognize them from CMT’s highest rated hit show, “Party Down South,” and the popular “Mud Digger” compilation albums.
