If love is a universal emotion, so is its opposite: hurt. From sadness to anger to weakness, the feelings can cover the full spectrum. In Jenna Torres‘ new single “Stirring Embers,” the Nashville-by-way-of-NYC country singer-songwriter centers on those relationships that are so almost unnaturally intense that even when it’s over, just seeing them brings the flame back like stirring embers in a dying fire. Torres sets the scene – and temperature – of the song in the official music video, exclusively premiering today with The Country Note.
“Getting over past relationships can be a struggle,” says Torres. “It can take time and a lot of strength to let the past be the past, especially when the bond was intense. Sometimes the only way to move on is to make sure you don’t have to cross paths with your ex but, life is not so neat and breaks are not so clean. People can come back, and when they do, the emotions can come rushing back in as though not a day has gone by!”
