Exclusive Premiere: Josie Sal “Redneck Weekend

Imagine taking a dare from your father – at 10 years old no less – would set you on the path to your career? That happened to 13-year old Josie Sal, when her dad dared her to sing in front of a Florida crowd; a moment that set off a spark in Josie that fueled her to take vocal and guitar lessons.  Since that dareful day, Josie has performed in venues across Pennsylvania and Florida as well as iconic events such as Tootsie’s 64th Annual Birthday Bash, shared the stage with Lainey Wilson and Jelly Roll, opened for Riley Green and Aaron Tippin and released her debut single “On My Way.”  On Friday, August 1, Josie is set to release her latest single “Redneck Weekend” premiering today exclusively with The Country Note.

“I wrote “Redneck Weekend” with Kelli Johnson and Mike Riley to capture the fun and memories of the summers I spent growing up with family and friends,” says Josie.  “It’s a feel-good anthem that celebrates those wild, carefree weekends we all seem to have in our own way, no matter what age you are.”
