The visuality of the lyrics allows the listener to picture Holly leaving her Oklahoma home to head out to California, with so much promise ahead but also so much darkness. Lang’s wordplay regarding Holly and Would are very clever in connecting a story of a person, emotions, and hope to something that is physical and materialistic but yet iconic – Hollywood.

“HollyWould is one of the spiciest songs I have ever written,” says Lang. “As a matter of fact, it sat in a box for quite some time before I had the courage to release it. It seemed to really fit this upcoming more adult, contemporary, and PG-13 album that l am putting out called Jealous Green Eyes. This song is about a girl named Holly who would do anything in her power to make it in Hollywood. It’s a fun play on words for such a serious topic. I cannot wait to share this new music with the fans.”
