Just because there’s a 2 in the name, doesn’t mean you can’t two-step solo. That’s what country artist Kimberly Dawn declares in her new single “Two to Two-Step” – an anthem for all those who may be missing the second part of the pair, but that doesn’t mean you can’t dance the night away. And with a beat so catchy, you won’t be able to stop yourself from two-steppin’ your blues away! Today, the Alberta, Canada native is premiering the swingin’ track exclusively with The Country Note.
“‘Two to Two-Step’ has that fun, Texas country sound that makes you want to turn it up, grab your boots, find a dance floor, and just have a good time!” Dawn exclaims. “This song was made for two-stepping, and I can’t wait for people to hear it and hit the dance floor!”
Think I’ll take these boots for a ride
Like the wheels on my Ford ‘59
Kick all the dust off and shake off all the rust
Till I’m shining like that neon light
Gonna dance away this ol’ heartbreak
Scoot these boots till your memory fades away
Drop a twenty in the jukebox
And pour that whiskey on the rocks
And let that Johnny wash away the pain
But darl’n I can two-step
They say if you don’t use it you might lose it
But I still got the moves and I can prove it
It’s time to do this
Cuz I found out it don’t take two to two-step
No I don’t need a me and you to two-step
