Each year brings new Christmas tunes and while some may become modern classics, like “All I Want For Christmas”, it is the traditional Christmas carols that are weaved into the tapestry of the holiday soundtrack. Their orchestral style and grand vocals – by a solo singer or chorus – bring a nostalgic weight as these carols deliver the stories of the Reason for the Season. Upon hearing the first note of “Silent Night,” images of the Nativity instantly come to mind, with Mary and Joseph holding the newborn baby Jesus. That very essence is what lead Mikayla Lane to record her own version, premiering exclusively today with The Country Note.
“I chose to record this song because I love the message,” says Mikayla. “While I love fun Christmas songs that get you excited for the presents, traditions and everything that comes with Christmas, “Silent Night” has a great message and reminds everyone of the whole point of Christmas and why it even exists.”
