Certain country artists have a voice that is so recognizable, it only takes a word or two of a song to know exactly who it is. Ray Scott is one of those artists, and with his velvet baritone he’s set to release his fifth studio album Guitar For Sale this Friday, June 9th.
The lead off single “Livin’ This Way” kicks off the album and while it sets a somewhat dark tone – Livin’ this way will maybe take me to my grave a little earlier than most / But it won’t change until I kill all of this pain / Find a better way to go / Though you might say it ain’t ok, livin’ this way – each song contains Scott’s trademark of raw truthfulness. All 11-tracks on Guitar For Sale were written/co-written by Scott, including “Pray For The Fish,” which was penned 15 years ago and recorded by none-other than the legendary Randy Travis.
