Exclusive Spotlight Series: Carson Beyer

Carson Beyer comes from the Paducah side of Kentucky — farm-raised, cattle and crops before the stages.

College ball. Tim McGraw and George Strait in the truck, Keith Whitley in the feeling, then Usher and Justin Timberlake in the locker room. The click came watching Stapleton and Timberlake at the CMAs — not “be them,” just “there’s a lane if I stay myself.”

He moved to Nashville. Wrote. Played. “Bones” did the introducing — a song about the grandfather he never met that passed 4 million Spotify streams and made people look twice. He’s been cutting on Music Row and in Muscle Shoals since, which is a sentence that tells you what he’s chasing: country that still has dirt on it, with some soul in the vocal.

The newer run stays in that pocket. “Lovin’ You Yet.” “God’s Up To Something.” “Reason To Stay.” “Go Good Together.” Smooth voice. Plain talk. No cowboy-hat cosplay.

This Spotlight Session is the longer conversation. Watch it on our YouTube. Then put “Bones” on and work forward.

This is TCN Spotlight Series. A different artist every day. Pour something, watch the video, then come read the story.
