On Friday (4/21), Statler Brothers member Jimmy Fortune released his latest album Jimmy Fortune: Sings The Classics – an album devoted to Fortune’s all-time favorite tunes. Featuring collaborations with Ricky Skaggs (“Wake Up Little Susie”), The Isaacs (“Take It To The Limit”) and Voices of Lee (“Bridge Over Troubled Waters”), Jimmy Fortune: Sings The Classics covers songs by artists over various genres. The 14-track album includes hits made famous by The Beatles, John Denver, The Eagles, Righteous Brothers and more, but perhaps none are so personal to Fortune as Glen Campbell’s “Southern Nights.”
Fortune talks about what it means to him to cover such a classic Glen Campbell song in this exclusive clip:
Jimmy Fortune: Sings the Classics is available on iTunes, Amazon, other national retailers and at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store® locations nationwide.
