Nashville, TN – —The American Freedom Foundation’s Your Next Mission™, a new initiative that supports our Veterans, transitioning service members and families and recently listed by Feedspot as the #1 “Best Military Podcasts on the Planet”, tackles our Veteran’s post-military needs one podcast at a time.

Facing statistics such as the suicide rate among Veterans in 2019 was 52% higher than Non-Veteran adults in the U.S. (National Veteran Suicide Prevention 2021 Annual Report), 1.4 million Veterans are homeless or at risk of homelessness (U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development) and that 1 one in 5 Veterans suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder and 1 out of 6 from a substance abuse (Justice For Vets), 12th SMA (R) Jack L. Tilley works each week to combat these issues much like he did in his role as the 12th Sergeant Major of the Army.

“Over 1 million Veterans, and their families, will separate from the military over the next five years. The American Freedom Foundation’s Your Next Mission™ will be on the front line to help them adjust to the transition and the challenges of civilian life,” states SMA Tilley.

Kicking off Veterans Day week, Your Next Mission™ podcast with host 12th SMA (R) Jack L. Tilley will feature Veterans, Fatima and Jason, on Tuesday, November 9 talking about the work they are doing to help Afghan Allies, Veterans and First Responders deal with the pain and agony of war through organizations like Shona Ba Shona (Shoulder By Shoulder) and Spartan Sword.

Then on Veterans Day, Thursday, November 11, SMA Tilley will talk with GEN Michael Garrett, Commanding General and CSM Todd Sims, Command Sergeant Major, of the U.S. Forces Command (FORSCOM) at Ft. Bragg as they take us behind the scenes of the largest U.S. Army Command consisting of more than 750,000 active duty Army, Reserve and National Guard soldiers.
