Officially Going For Radio Adds June 29
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Cole Swindell, a Grammy-nominated multi-Platinum rising superstar, released “Single Saturday Night” for his fans in May to give them new music after he had to pause his headlining Down To Earth Tour and come off the road amidst the current COVID19 crisis. The enormous fan response to the song was so overwhelming and positive, the song is officially being added to country radio across the country on June 29. The massive fan response propelled “Single Saturday Night” to No. 7 on the all-genre iTunes chart during its week of release, even without country radio airplay.
After putting his tour on pause and coming off the road, the Georgia native wanted to engage his fans and involve them in the release of “Single Saturday Night.” He rallied his core group of fans, the Down Home Crew, sending them save-the-date information on new music coming and gave them the opportunity to announce the news before he announced the news publicly. In the days following, Swindell communicated with hundreds of fans in the announce of the song title and subsequent reveals on the lyrics, sharing and retweeting their posts and more. By release day, May 22, the fans had created a groundswell of support for “Single Saturday Night.”
“Single Saturday Night,” written by Ashley Gorley, Michael Hardy and Mark Holman, is the follow-up to his No. 1 single “Love You Too Late” and becomes the multi-No. 1 hitmaker’s 11th career single.
“Single Saturday Night,” which ABC News calls “uptempo and summer-ready,” is currently available across all digital platforms and streaming services and has been applauded by not only fans but media as well.
Country Now accurately expressed that the song is “destined to become a fan-favorite” and Taste of Country says the uptempo feel-good “Single Saturday Night” is a “great way to kick off the weekend.” NASH Country Daily applauded the song and Swindell saying he “is keeping his creative juices flowing during the ongoing pandemic” with the new release. NY Country Swag saying “he certainly got our attention” with “Single Saturday Night” and vouched “it’s one you’ll want to hear.”
“I’ve loved ‘Single Saturday Night’ since the first time I heard it,” said Swindell. “And having the fans be as excited and love it has much as me has blown me away. I am ready for summer and so glad this is my next song at country radio!”
