Producer Mode and Muscle Shoals Magic
Hill stepped into the producer’s chair and took a pilgrimage to Muscle Shoals, building tracks like he builds a show: live energy first, then refine.
“We brought writers, studio killers, and three of my live guys. I sat between the glass and the console and talked while we recorded, creating from the ground up. We tried things that shouldn’t work. Some didn’t, but a lot did. It felt real.”
The goal was simple. Bottle what people feel at a Clark Hill show and pour it into the record.
“One Beer” — From Inside Joke to Instant Party
The single started as a hang at the end of a session, morphed into a chorus everyone in the room was singing, and became a video that feels like you’re in the after-hours.
“We told the cast, If you’re here just to get paid, you can go home. If you’re here to have fun, stay. We kept it sober, kept it professional, and still captured that feeling. The whole point was: put you in the room. And when it ends, make you miss it.
Two weeks in, the video was already racking up tens of thousands of views organically, with streams closing in on six figures. Built on word-of-mouth and replay value.
Southern Rock Roots, Wide-Open Ears
Hill is proudly country, and proudly unboxed.
“I’m a true North Central Florida boy. Country is home, but my heroes weren’t bound to one lane. Elvis is my number one. Prince is my number two. Number three? Lynyrd Skynyrd. And number four—curveball—Boyz II Men.”
