by Country Hitmaker Jamie O’Neal Which Drops on July 17
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Americana/country singer-songwriter Hannah Bethel is celebrating a big week as she lands support from Fender Guitars and the International Songwriting Competition for her self-penned song, “The House Is On Fire.” In addition, the Circle Network’s television show ‘Americana Connection’ will feature her official music video of “The House Is On Fire” in an episode airing at 10:30 PM/ET on Saturday, July 18. And adding to her writing credits, Bethel has garnered a cut as a co-writer on Jamie O’Neal’s latest single “Wreck Me,” scheduled for release on July 17.
Bethel has been hand selected by the iconic Fender brand to be awarded its American Acoustasonic Stratocaster model in conjunction with her recent win in the International Songwriting Competition (ISC). She was chosen from the field of many winners across multiple genres for the special accolade.
“ISC is honored to recognize Hannah Bethel, the first place winner in our 2019 Americana category, and winner of the Fender American Acoustasonic Stratocaster prize,” states Shane Whalen, Director of Marketing, ISC. “Her song, ‘The House On Fire,’ was a standout in the competition, garnering much praise from our judges, and being hand selected by Fender.”
“Hannah was chosen by me personally,” says Stephen Taylor, Artist Marketing Rep, Fender Musical Instruments, Nashville. “I sifted through the finalists in each category and was drawn to this song and her delivery. It really encompasses the spirit of great songwriting, which is a pivotal aspect of the American Acoustasonic guitar platform. We want this instrument to inspire in a new way, providing artists with a range of sounds that will enhance the creative process and allow them to tap into their best creative selves. We can’t wait to hear the music Hannah writes and performs in the future!”
“I am so honored by the first place win in the Americana category at the ISC!” exclaims Bethel. “I am thrilled to be supported by Fender with their prize of this beautiful guitar! I am so grateful for this uplifting news in such a strange time.”
The support from Fender adds to the growing list of musical instrument manufacturers who are attracted to the unique stylings of the gypsy songstress including Gretsch and Furch Guitars (she is a “Featured Artist” endorsee of both). Combined, all of these guitar brands help her to accentuate her Seventies-influenced folk, country and rock style which includes a range of delicate acoustic and edgy electric soundscapes.
The Circle Network’s ‘Americana Connection’ will feature Bethel’s official music video of “The House Is On Fire” in an episode airing at 10:30 PM/ET on Saturday, July 18. The show will also feature one of her all-time musical idols, James Taylor, along with Della Mae featuring The McCrary Sisters, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Sarah Jarosz and others.
Bethel’s songwriting creds will also be further bolstered this week when country hit maker Jamie O’Neal drops her latest single, “Wreck Me,” which was co-written by Bethel with O’Neal and Rachele Lynae.
“I have been a fan of Jamie, her voice and her songwriting for a long time,” says Bethel. “I have really enjoyed writing with her and getting to know her over the past few years. I love this song and how it turned out. Jamie sounds amazing, per usual, and ‘teenaged Hannah’ is so excited!”
