Nashville, Tennessee: Flaming Tortuga Records is thrilled to announce the upcoming release of the latest album from award-winning Songwriter/Hillbilly Singer, Scott Southworth: “These Old Bones” available everywhere on July 20, 2020.
“These Old Bones” is the follow up to Southworth’s 2018 Traditional Country/Honky Tonk release “Hey Hillbilly Singer!”, awarded the 2018 “Pure Country Album of the Year” by the Academy of Western Artists. The first single “Brown Liquor” dropped worldwide on June 2, 2020 along with CD Pre-Order. CountryDaily.com claims “Scott Southworth Owns Traditional Country” and Scott keeps the Honky Tonk Train rolling on this new 11 song collection, all written or co-written by Southworth, who was named Indie “Songwriter of the Year” by Country Music People magazine in January 2019. The album was produced by Buddy Hyatt and recorded in Nashville, TN.
“I hope folks have as much fun listening to “These Old Bones” as I had writing and recording it! Several of the tunes were co-writes with great friends and some of my favorite writers. Then to bring them into the studio with Buddy Hyatt producing and Nashville legends like Brent Mason, Mike Johnson, Mark Fain and Joe Spivey picking on the sessions…there’s nothing in the world cooler than hearing them breathe life to the songs we write!” says Scott.
