DIG YOUR ROOTS TOUR Continues To Earn Rave Reviews
Nashville, Tenn. – Florida Georgia Line is keeping the party going following the #1 debut of DIG YOUR ROOTS, their third album for BMLG Records. Country music’s elite duo will share more of their personalities and fresh tunes during three exciting TV appearances.
On Saturday (9/24, 9 a.m. ET/PT), Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard will co-host CMT’s Hot 20 Countdown with Cody Alan and Katie Cook from their sold-out DIG YOUR ROOTS TOUR stop in Des Moines, Iowa. The episode highlights their electric live-concert experience and features an exclusive performance of “H.O.L.Y.” – the best-selling country song of the year, which topped the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart for an astonishing 18 weeks.
The pair will suit up for a double dose of screen time on Tuesday (9/27), appearing on the syndicated Access Hollywood Live and performing their hits “H.O.L.Y.” and “Cruise” between the fox-trotting fun on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars (8/7 p.m. CT).
The TV appearances arrive in the midst of another wildly successful summer concert tour, as their crowd-pleasing DIG YOUR ROOTS TOUR continues to sell out arenas and amphitheaters around the country and features openers Cole Swindell, The Cadillac Three and Kane Brown. Performing at the top of their game for massive audiences night after night, FGL’s 2016 trek is amplified with their headline debut at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on 10/13 before finishing up with a run of Canadian dates in November.
Respected press outlets from around the nation have joined loyal fans in praising FGL’s adrenaline-pumping live shows:
“Florida Georgia doubles the fun.” – Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
“For a good time, call Florida Georgia Line.” – The Des Moines Register
“…a high-spirited and high-octane 90-minutes that went from country to hip-hop, rock to reggae, covers of Papa Roach and Backstreet Boys songs, and even an intimate, Nashville-style song pull…”– Oakland Press
“…certainly delivered stylistically” – LexGo / Lexington Herald-Leader
“…took the decibel level in the performing arts center off the charts.” – The Buffalo News
Meanwhile, the album’s second single (“May We All” featuring superstar Tim McGraw) is off to a tremendous launch at Country radio, while the song’s cinematic music video has already amassed over six million views. The short film can now be viewed on YouTube here.
DIG YOUR ROOTS also showcases special collaborations with FGL’s early musical influences – pop phenomenon Backstreet Boys and reggae luminary Ziggy Marley.
Since introducing their breakout vibes in 2012, FGL has earned prestigious honors from the AMA, ACM Awards, CMA Awards, Billboard Music Awards and CMT. Their previous releases – 2X PLATINUM debut HERE’S TO THE GOOD TIMES and PLATINUM ANYTHING GOES – have attributed to sales surpassing 26 million tracks and more than 3.5 million albums worldwide. With their massive debut, FGL’s “Cruise” is the only country single to ever be certified DIAMOND for sales exceeding 10 million copies and overtook the record for longest #1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.
