Docked At Northerly Island For The Festival’s Most Successful Year Yet
Nashville, TN — The fourth-annual Country LakeShake Festival has become a summer-staple event in Chicago, taking place on the scenic shores of Lake Michigan on Northerly Island and delivering the highest caliber of artists in the genre. The three-day, two-stage festival hosted its biggest attendance as fans enjoyed the unique experience across the weekend.
Friday kicked off with some rain, but that didn’t stop the festival from thriving as “one of the most popular country music events” (Northwest Indiana Times), punctuated by performances including headliner Blake Shelton, Lee Brice, Tracy Lawrence and many more. To ensure the fan’s satisfaction, extraordinary measures were taken by bringing in artificial turf to combat the rain and to make the “three-day party of the Midwest” (Sounds Like Nashville) as enjoyable as possible for the audience.
Festivities on Saturday shifted into high gear, with the sun shining and headliner Dierks Bentley bringing a hit-filled and energetic set. The festival, which prides itself on “bringing the best, the brightest and everybody else… features a view of the city’s skyline, a variety of food trucks, a wine lounge, a Blackhawks bar, pop-up performances, interactive activities and line dancing [and] for the artists, Country LakeShake is a major gig on the itinerary” (Chicago Tribune.)
Sunday’s headliners Florida Georgia Line closed down the final day of the festival with a gigantic crowd singalong, leaving fans with an unforgettable three-day experience. Praising the Country LakeShake’s weekend-getaway vibe Billboard noted “summer doesn’t get much better than when it involved country music outdoors on the water.”
