Fourth Annual Dottie West Birthday Bash Hosted By Jeannie Seely Rescheduled

NASHVILLE, TN. – The star studded fourth annual Dottie West Birthday Bash hosted by Grand Ole Opry Member Jeannie Seely and slated for  October 14th at 3rd & Lindsley in Nashville has been rescheduled due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic to October 13, 2021. The event, which has supported the Nashville Musicians Association with 100% of all money going to the Musician’s Emergency Relief Fund asks supporters to make donations to the Musician’s Emergency Relief Fund to support the music community during this time. Donations can be made here.

“It is especially regrettable that we have to postpone this event because, of all times, this year the need is even more urgent.  With the shutdown of our entire music industry due to Covid, musicians are really struggling as well as all the other jobs associated with live entertainment,” explained Jeannie Seely. “This year’s show honoring Charlie McCoy was promising to be one of our best.  No one personifies ‘musician’ more than Charlie and he is so supportive of this cause.  Thank you for all of YOUR  support in the past, and if you can, we would appreciate any donation you might offer anyway.  WE WILL BE BACK!!”

In addition to celebrating Dottie’s birthday and honoring her legacy, the event also honors another artist and/or musician who has made an indelible impact on country music. Grammy-winning session musician and Country Music Hall of Fame member Charlie McCoy, who was slated to be honored this year, will now be celebrated in 2021. Previous honorees were Musicians Hall of Fame and North Carolina Hall of Fame member Jimmy Capps (2017), Country Music Hall of Fame inductees Dottie West, Ricky Skaggs, and Johnny Gimble (2018), and Grand Ole Opry, Country Music Hall of Fame, and Songwriters Hall of Fame member Bill Anderson (2019).
