SECOND FULL-LENGTH ALBUM GRAB THAT CHANCE
OUT FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 15
NASHVILLE, TN — Today, Frencha, the pioneering French artist and songwriter in country music, releases her latest single, “Hold On To The Night,” from her upcoming second full-length LP, Grab That Chance, set to debut on Friday, November 15. This nine-track album offers a distinctive mix of Nashville-recorded tunes and country songs with French lyrics, beautifully blending her dual cultural influences.
In June 2024, Frencha traveled to America and joined producer Dean Miller, known for his work with Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson, in a Nashville studio to record the record’s sophomore single, “Hold On To The Night.” She explains, “My husband and I had three babies in three years and were exhausted. One night, my mother offered to take care of our kids, so we booked a hotel. Instead of resting, we drove into the countryside, took a midnight bath in a lake, made a fire pit, laughed, danced, and listened to music until morning, just like when we first met. This song is a call to forget worries and share moments of innocence, joy, and sensuality, accentuated by the magic of the night.”

Alongside the release of “Hold On To The Night,” Frencha continues to celebrate the project’s title track, “Grab That Chance,” which dropped on June 21. The official music video for “Grab That Chance,” showcases classic country elements like a cowboy hat, turquoise jewelry, rolling fields, and a vintage pickup truck — all set against the unexpected backdrop of the European countryside rather than the familiar Tennessee hills.

Amidst the sprawling French countryside and the electric pulse of Paris, Charlotte Amar, known to her fans as “Frencha,” has woven her love for American country music into a unique European tapestry. After years of sidelining her dreams, one of Frencha’s three children, Ava, asked, “Why aren’t you recording music, Mom?” “What kind of mother tells her kids to follow their dreams without showing them how it’s done,” Frencha says.
Inspired by her daughter’s profound insight, Frencha gathered the courage to bring her songs to the studio, leading to the quiet release of her debut album, Cactus Heart, in 2022. Within a week of it being out, Dean Miller invited Frencha to the studio in Nashville, TN.
That call from Miller sparked the creation of the forthcoming project’s lead single and title track, “Grab That Chance,” which embraces a more optimistic perspective on life. The lyrical themes revolve around the idea that age is just a number and it’s never too late to pursue your dreams. Earning a spot on Holler’s “The Best Uplifting Country Songs” playlist, Frencha shares, “It felt like the right time to believe in myself and seize my opportunities.”
Twangy guitars and narrative-rich lyrics have been the soundtrack of her life since Frencha was nine, when a stay with an American family in Virginia first introduced her to the world of country music. Ever since, Frencha has drawn inspiration from this genre, swapping tiaras for cowgirl hats and crafting melodies that tell stories in both English and French.
Born and raised in Paris, France, Frencha was immersed in a vibrant blend of cultures. Her Italian mother, who owned a travel company, provided ample opportunities for her to explore the world. Her French father, the director of the wind instrument manufacturer “Buffet et Crampon,” introduced her to the world of music early on. Additionally, her family was involved in the winery business, leading her to spend many holidays in the French countryside and Tuscany, Italy. Through her global adventures, she was captivated by the American dream, with its promise of boundless opportunity resonating deeply with her. This enduring inspiration stayed with her throughout her 12-year career in fashion PR.
Drawing inspiration from every corner of country music, Frencha has crafted a unique sound that blends her diverse influences into something distinctly her own. Frencha explains, “Miranda Lambert for traditional country, Kacey Musgraves for her modern twist and soft voice, Chris Stapleton for his poignant lyrics, Abby Anderson for her groove, and Shania Twain for pioneering country music in France. I also have a deep appreciation for oldies like John Denver, Willie Nelson, and Roger Miller.” Alongside these, her French inspirations include Johnny Hallyday, Eddy Mitchell, Diane Tell, and Charles Aznavour.
“I want my songs to bring people smiles, hope, and love,” Frencha concludes. “My goal is to create a bridge between American country music and our French touch.”
