NASHVILLE, TENN. — ACM New Female Artist of the Year nominee Gabby Barrett continues her reign as “Country’s new queen of comeuppance” (PEOPLE) this week with more headline-worthy career milestones.

Atop Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart for the third consecutive week, “I Hope,” her 2X PLATINUM chart-topper and “one of the biggest smashes of the year” (Forbes) continues its rule as “a streaming tsunami” (HITS). Barrett became the only female with a debut solo single to top the chart since 2006 with the achievement, following Carrie Underwood’s “Jesus Take The Wheel.”

“I Hope” – praised by CMT as a “captivating drama” – is the most-streamed Country song of the year (MRC/Nielsen), and a dynamite crossover hit at Top 40, AC & Hot AC radio with its version featuring Charlie Puth soaring, while sophomore Country radio single “The Good Ones” is tracking steadily across the format. Radio achievements continue to pile up, as Barrett has five different songs – all from her full-length debut GOLDMINE – spinning across five different formats, ranging from “Got Me” featuring Shane & Shane at Christian stations like SiriusXM’s “The Message” and Music Choice’s Contemporary Christian channels to “Rose Needs A Jack” at SiriusXM’s “The Highway.”

Breaking out as “the year’s top new artist” (Country Aircheck), Barrett became the first female Country artist ever to top 10 MILLION single week streams with 11.3 MILLION streams earlier in 2020. GOLDMINE earned the most first week debut album streams of any Country act in history, following her historic #1 “I Hope,” the first debut single from a solo female to top Country radio charts since 2017 and the youngest debut single to summit in over two decades.

Ascending to new heights, Barrett was recently appointed as an Amazon Music Breakthrough artist, one of six breaking acts chosen worldwide and the only Country act in the program. Today, the “Chartbreaker” will go live on Billboard’s Facebook page here at 1pm ET/12pm CT to perform a handful of hits and interact with fans, raising money to benefit the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund.
