Award-Winning Band Teams Up With Dale Ann Bradley on New Video
for Album Cut “Daddy and the Old Oak Tree” Released This Week
Nashville, Tenn. – American Roots legend Gary Brewer has plenty of reasons to celebrate. In addition to returning to the NUMBER ONE spot on Billboard’s “Bluegrass Albums Chart” this week, the critically-acclaimed hitmaker is also excited to announce rescheduled dates for the long-awaited “40th Anniversary Celebration Tour,” with several more to be added (locations below). The tour will see the award-winning band taking their one-of-a-kind stage show to venues and festivals coast-to-coast in the United States, with some shows being standard, while others include an innovative “Music Revived at the Drive-In” experience.
“I feel very blessed and elated at the success of the 40th Anniversary Celebration cd reaching the number one spot again on billboard charts,” says Gary Brewer. “I am so excited to see events opening up again, and restrictions lifted and allowing live entertainment. We are pumped up and ready to see our friends and fans as we are performing our 40th Anniversary Celebration Tour.”
Just in time for Father’s Day, Gary Brewer and his band The Kentucky Ramblers also teamed up with 5-time IBMA “Female Vocalist of the Year” Dale Ann Bradley for a brand new video which just premiered this week for “Daddy and the Old Oak Tree.” The cut has garnered a good deal of attention, and is currently up for consideration for “Collaborative Recording of the Year” on the International Bluegrass Music Association’s second round ballot. The video pays tribute to Gary’s father, the late Finley Brewer, who passed away in 2020. The group teamed up with Indie Artst, who will offer a variety of ways for fans to watch the video, including Roku and Fire TV (check it out HERE).
Since the full album’s release in the early summer of 2020, the project has propelled Brewer and his band The Kentucky Ramblers to new heights. The 40th Anniversary Celebration has been covered and praised by top publications including Medium, American Songwriter, Music Row Magazine, Thrive Global, Country Rebel and many more. Guest artists featured on the project include Doug Phelps (The Kentucky Headhunters), Sam Bush, Ashton Shepherd, T. Graham Brown, The Travelin’ McCourys, Dale Ann Bradley, Russell Moore and Ralph Stanley II. This week marks the 49th week on the Billboard “Bluegrass Albums Chart” where it’s spent multiple weeks at No. 1 and the entirety of its 49 weeks (so far) in the Top Five.
Lead singer Gary Brewer has garnered attention and gained respect from some of the biggest names of all-time across multiple music genres. Having recorded and toured with music icons like Waylon Jennings, George Jones, Ricky Skaggs, Dwight Yoakam, Jerry Reed, Bill Monroe, J.D. Crowe, Uncle Josh Graves, Dave Evans and countless others, that inspiration is on full display in the band’s unique style. At one point, he even got the attention of late Country maverick Porter Wagner, who said “Gary Brewer has a great group, works hard on his act and is an excellent Bluegrass singer.” ‘Father of Bluegrass’ Bill Monroe was also once quoted as saying, “This boy right here is 100% Bluegrass! He comes from good stock.”
As the celebration continues, Gary Brewer & The Kentucky Ramblers have several other surprises in store. To learn more about the band, check the latest news stories, tour dates and more visit their official website HERE.
