Nashville, Tenn. – Since the release of Gary Brewer & The Kentucky Ramblers critically-acclaimed 40th Anniversary Celebration album in mid-2020, the group has been propelled to new heights with their own unique style of music referred to by fans and critics alike as “Brewgrass.”
Billboard just released their 2021 Year-End Charts, and the collection was No. 84 on the ALL-GENRE Top Current Selling Album Sales Year-End Charts, in-between mainstream artists Ariana Grande and Rob Zombie. In addition, the project was the No. 3 album of the year on Billboard’s Bluegrass Albums Year-End Charts (only behind Sturgill Simpson). The collection just spent its final week on the Billboard Bluegrass Albums Chart, after 18 consecutive months in the Top Five, and an impressive 16 weeks in the top spot.
The project ushered in a new chapter by also showcasing the future of The Kentucky Ramblers in the form of Gary’s sons, Wayne and Mason Brewer (who are 6th generation musicians). The project was released on Gary’s label, SGM Records, which is led by CEO Wayne Brewer and COO Alyssa Brewer (Wayne’s wife).
Wayne says of the last two years, “it started out as a nightmare with Covid coming out of nowhere, shutting down touring etc., but with the brand new release, we put everything we had behind this album and kept pushing forward that much harder and it paid off in a bigger way than we could have ever imagined! But most importantly we’re so proud and thankful to be honoring Gary’s 40-year career and to be a small part of it. Congratulations Dad, you’re not done yet!”
The stage is set for new music from Gary Brewer & The Kentucky Ramblers, who are already back in the studio working on new music. What can people expect from the band? The answer is simple: The same original music that fans have come to expect, with the additional showcasing of the future of The Kentucky Ramblers as well. With recent features in top publications like American Songwriter, Thrive Global, Country Rebel and many more, the hype for the next project is at an all-time high for the award-winning band. With a record season of sold-out shows in the US, the group is very much looking forward to the future!
