NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Grand Ole Opry, known as the show that made country music famous and home to country artists with hundreds of number one hits to their credit, celebrated its latest achievement with a number one party of its own during Tuesday night’s (5/2) performance. Travel planning and booking site TripAdvisor last week revealed the Opry as its top U.S. attraction for Spring 2017. Artists on the night’s show and other guests including fans taking Opry House Backstage Tours marked the Opry’s newly-announced status on stage and in the Opry House Family Room.
The number one distinction is based on year-over-year search activity on TripAdvisor and marks increase in traveler interest. Opry performances are held every Friday and Saturday, with Tuesday shows continuing through Dec. 12 and Wednesday shows running throughout the summer. Among the artists coming soon to the Opry are Trace Adkins, Kelsea Ballerini, Charlie Daniels Band, Crystal Gayle, Chris Janson, Dustin Lynch, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Charley Pride, and Blake Shelton. The Opry offers Opry House Backstage Tours daily throughout the year.
