NASHVILLE, TN – River House Artists’ Grant Gilbert released his latest single “Take Me Out To The Bar” today. The baseball-inspired track, written by Gilbert, Brad Clawson, and Blake Bollinger, is a modern take on the ballpark classic, turning the lyrics into a breakup, drinking anthem perfect for summer. The song comes on the heels of his last single, “Six Pack State of Mind” with Josh Abbott, which jumped an impressive 44 places on the Texas Regional Radio Report and 42 places on the Texas Country Music Chart in the last two weeks and has garnered Gilbert his highest number of monthly streaming listeners in his career to date.
“’Take Me Out To The Bar’ is probably the craziest song I’ve written,” says Gilbert. “I went to a Nashville Sounds game where a friend was pitching. Between innings, ‘Take Me Out To The Ballgame’ would play, and everybody knew the words. The next day I sat down to write with Brad Clawson and Blake Bollinger using ‘Take Me Out To The Ballgame’ as our inspiration. It’s outside the box and fun and I can’t wait to play it live!”
