Green River Ordinance Frontman, Josh Jenkins, Steps Out With New Single, “Perfect Mess”

First single from forthcoming solo project; available now on all digital platforms

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Singer-songwriter, Josh Jenkins, has spent the last 17 years with the genre-blending band, Green River Ordinance, touring their explosive live show from coast to coast. But today (6/22), the GRO frontman drops his new single “Perfect Mess” as the first release from his forthcoming solo project, due later this year. Download or stream “Perfect Mess” here.

“In writing for this record I wanted to remove any boxes of where I could go and give myself permission to create for me,” said Jenkins. “‘Perfect Mess’ is the first chapter of that.”

The uptempo, romanticly devastating track describes the impact Jenkins knew his love interest would have on him, ultimately leaving him in a “perfect mess.” Reminiscent of Matt Kearney and Ben Rector, the song is sonically retro pop paired with a country lyric. Produced by Eric Massee (Miranda Lambert, Rayland Baxter, Andrew Combs & more), “Perfect Mess” is the first taste of what’s to come from Jenkins later this year.

Born and raised in Ft. Worth, Texas, Jenkins moved to Nashville in 2012 where he signed a publishing deal with SMACKSongs to focus on a career as a songwriter. Since then, he has penned several songs for major-label artists, including Jordan Davis, Walker Hayes, Randy Houser and more.
