“I really wanted to write something that not only told a classic story, but also put on display the wide array of musical influences that make up who I am as an artist. I really think we made that happen while giving the fans a song they can crank up real loud and jam to,” explains Martin.
Martin’s first single “How’d You Know” had a strong showing on Spotify upon its release in March. From the same region as renowned contemporaries Chris Stapleton, Patty Loveless, Keith Whitley and Dwight Yoakam- Josh Martin grew up playing music in the small coal mining towns of Eastern Kentucky. An accomplished musician on electric guitar as well as mandolin and banjo, Josh’s soulful voice and family man sincerity creates an undeniably satisfying blend of traditional and modern country music. With his classic musicianship, honest lyrics, and a voice that resonates as deep as the roots of his Kentucky heritage, Josh is well on his way to creating a successful music career.
