Nashville, TN – Hailey Verhaalen is continuing to lean into the “feel-good” side of songwriting and has released a new single called “How I Make a Livin’.” The track was produced by Colt Capperrune, who has had several songs on the Top 40 Billboard Country Chart and #1 songs on iTunes and Amazon.
“I’ve always loved any type of “hand in the wind” feel-good song, and this is definitely one I’ve loved to cruise down a back road and crank up since the day we wrote it! My hope in the writers room when we were crafting this song was that it captured my belief that money can’t buy happiness, but memories can. I hope whoever’s speakers it comes through can feel that no care in the world happiness I feel when I listen to it and live out the story we captured in those 3 1/2 minutes!” says Verhaalen.
Hailey is currently living in Nashville, TN, and is continuing the hustle of getting her songs and voice heard. She also had the chance to audition for last year’s season of American Idol and made it to Hollywood with a yes from all three judges! Katy Perry commented that her voice “stood out in the competition” and “has a beautiful tone.”
The single is now available on all digital outlets HERE.
