Forest City, IA., — The 2018 Tree Town Music Festival is set to return to Forest City, IA over Memorial Day weekend with stellar headliners Keith Urban, Cole Swindell, Eddie Money, ALABAMA and Charlie Daniels Band to head the star-powered lineup each night. Produced by Basis Entertainment, the four-day festival will be held on May 24-27, 2018 at Heritage Park.
Now in its fifth year, Tree Town Music Festival has quickly established itself as a staple entertainment destination during one of America’s favorite holiday weekends–Memorial Day weekend. The four-day music festival, that includes two stages and plenty of food vendors and camping, will kick off with its rock night on Thursday May 24, 2018 to the double-platinum sounds of Eddie Money headlining the night. Money burst onto the scene with his eponymous debut album in 1977. Fans immediately fell in love with Money’s sound, and the album, which went double platinum, featured hits like “Baby Hold On” and “Two Tickets to Paradise.” Money followed the success of his debut album with a stream of Top 40 hits, as well as some of the era’s most creative videos for songs like “Think I’m in Love” and “Shakin.” In 1986, Money released Can’t Hold Back, which featured the classic, Grammy-Nominated duet with Ronnie Spector, “Take Me Home Tonight.” The song reached number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album went platinum and also featured the hit “I Wanna Go Back.”
On Friday night, the record-breaking, platinum-selling, country hit maker Cole Swindell will hit the mains stage to headline and kick-off the weekend. Swindell released his second album You Should Be Here and it shot to No. 1 on the iTunes Top Country Albums Chart and No. 3 All Genre within hours of release. The album is now certified Gold by the RIAA. Its lead single and title track held a four week run on top of Billboard’s Hot Country songs chart (tally of digital streams, radio airplay and sales) in addition to multiple weeks sitting at No. 1 on country airplay. His Platinum-certified “You Should Be Here” already boasts over 115 million streams, 1.6 MILLION+ track equivalents and over 52 million YouTube views. The career-defining single surpassed over 1 BILLION audience impressions. The song joins Swindell’s six other No. 1 consecutive singles as a solo artist (including Gold-certified hits “Let Me See Ya Girl” and his last No. 1 and Platinum-certified “Middle of a Memory” along with Platinum-certified hits “Hope You Get Lonely Tonight,” “Ain’t Worth The Whiskey,” “Chillin’ It” from his Platinum selling self-titled debut album). This tops his own record of being the only solo artist in the history of Country Aircheck/Mediabase to top the chart with his first SEVEN singles. Swindell was nominated in June for the 2017 CMT Video of the Year Award for his No. 1 single “Middle of a Memory.” Earlier this year, the Georgia native was awarded his second CMA “Triple Play Award” for penning three No. 1 songs within the last 12 months (“Ain’t Worth The Whiskey,” “Let Me See Ya Girl,” “You Should Be Here”). To date, Swindell has sold 2 million total album equivalents in the three years since his debut, including 5.8 million+ tracks sold and over 715 million on-demand streams. As previously announced, four-time Grammy winner Keith Urban will headline Saturday night at Tree Town to perform many of his hits from his platinum album RIPCORD, which produced five #1 songs including “Wasted Time,” “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16” and “The Fighter,” which is Urban’s 23rd #1 song, his 7th consecutive, and continued his streak as the artist with the most consecutive top 10 songs on Billboard’s Country Airplay Chart (38) – a streak that started in August of 2000. A groundbreaking album for Urban, RIPCORD marked the second time that one of his albums debuted simultaneously atop the all-genre charts in the U.S., Canada and Australia. He is the only male Country artist to achieve this mark, not just once, but twice. In 2017, he has earned five nominations for the 2017 CMA Awards, including Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and Single of the Year for “Blue Ain’t Your Color.” Earlier this year, Urban was also the most awarded artist at the 2017 CMT Music Awards with four wins including Video of the Year, Male Video of the Year, and Social Superstar. The premier songwriter, vocalist, musician and virtuoso guitarist has earned four Grammy Awards, ten Country Music Association awards, eleven Academy of Country Music Awards, a People’s Choice and an American Music Award and has been nominated for a Golden Globe. He’s also a member of the Grand Ole Opry.Fans can keep up-to-date by visiting www.KeithUrban.net.
