The video was shot in the scenic San Bernardino Mountains in California and features the brothers enjoying a weekend get-away with friends. Shot and edited by Hunter Gulan and directed by Victoria Innocenzi of Glasshouse Visuals, the video perfectly portrays the playful, feel-good nature of the single that’s complimented by the trio’s familial harmonies.

American Songwriter premiered a ‘First Listen’ to the single, in which the brothers shared the inspiration behind the new single. Though the lyrics were written before the novel coronavirus pandemic, the song has taken on a new life while millions across the world are quarantining and social distancing. “Where I Wanna Be” was co-written by Brandon DeLaura, Bryan DeLaura and Andria Farrell and produced by Tyler Cain (Big & Rich, Darius Rucker, Billy Currington).

Runnin’ free on your dad’s old farm,
Layin’ in the barley under the stars
I’m kissin’ you, you’re kissin’ me,
Yeah anywhere next to you is where I wanna be

“We wrote “Where I Wanna Be” prior to the pandemic, as a tribute to the most important people in our lives, and it took on a whole new meaning due to Covid,” shared Holiday State. “We hope it’ll give people listening an escape, to put themselves in a place where they “wanna be” during these crazy times. Everyone can relate to the feeling that it doesn’t matter where we are, but as long as we’re together, we can get through this.”

The trio of brothers have previously released four singles “Friday Feelin,” “Steal the Thunder,” “Sun Up Sun Down” and “Cut Me Loose.” In February of this year the band opened up for Logan Mize on his “I Ain’t Gotta Grow Up Tour” for select dates and have previously opened for multi-platinum recording artists O-Town and in 2017 were direct support for Sammy Adams on his National “Seniorits Tour.”
