Columbia Records’ All-Vocal Country Sensation Launches Headline North American Tour This Spring
NASHVILLE, TN – With over 140 million YouTube views and counting, Columbia Records’ HOME FREE is back again with their latest cover video for Keith Urban’s chart-topping smash, “Blue Ain’t Your Color,” exclusively on FOX411 Country on Friday (3/31). The all-vocal quintet’s harmony-rich, Motown spin on the critically acclaimed song can be heard on their current spring tour, which launched last week in Midland, TX (3/21).
Directed by Jimmy Bates, the music video takes Home Free to a whole new level as a group with smooth doo-wop inspired moves created by long-time collaborator and choreographer Kristin Denehy who helped the band set a throwback to a 1960’s school dance complete with a black and white checkerboard floor, shimmering gold fringe and upright microphones.
“When we first heard the song, we knew that we had to make a Home Free arrangement,” Rob Lundquist (tenor) said to Fox411 Country.
Tim Foust (bass) added, “As we were arranging the song with our producer Darren Rust, it began to take on an old-school Motown feel. So we tried to capture that vibe with our music video as well. It was a blast bringing that twist to a killer country song.”
With three nearly sold-out runs in 2016 playing to over 125,000 fans, Home Free will continue to bring their must-see show to fans all over this spring. The 30-city international tour runs through April 30 and includes stops in Québec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, Canada, followed by festivals in Austria, Netherlands and Spain and select summer dates.
