Nashville, TN – “A singer-songwriter with attitude and hooks to burn” (Rolling Stone), Tucker Beathard gave a special preview of his upcoming EP FIGHT LIKE HELL (release date Oct. 7) last night by asking some of his closest collaborators to join him for a special one night performance. Playing to an invitation-only room of Nashville’s most esteemed publishers, songwriters, industry and critics, Beathard was joined on stage by his father and co-writer, Casey Beathard, along with Jonathan Singleton and producer Angelo Petraglia.
Beathard kicked off the evening by playing one of the first songs he ever wrote when he was a teenager grounded in his room. He brought his father up on stage, who offered insight into how the inspiration of one of his hit songs, “Homeboy,” came to him when Tucker was getting into trouble during his teenage years. The night continued with Singleton and Petraglia sharing nostalgic and funny stories, launching into performances of the songs they created together, including the EP’s determined title-track “Fight Like Hell,” the riff-driven standout “Momma and Jesus” and culminating in Beathard’s debut single “Rock On,” currently in the Top 5 on the country charts.
Becoming known for “lyrics [that] are personal, but accessible” (Taste Of Country), Tucker Beathard’s EP, FIGHT LIKE HELL, is a six song collection all co-written by Beathard, that showcases his relentless nature and is echoed by the staggering number of live shows he has played this year, closing in on almost 200 performances. Beathard will kick off his first-ever headlining ROCK ON COLLEGE TOUR with special guest Aubrie Sellers in Champaign, IL on 10/13, and with a family history steeped in football, the string of dates will hit “Big Ten Conference” towns. Beathard will also return to Europe for the second time this year, for headlining dates beginning in Dublin, IE on 12/3.
