Silverado Records, an independent country music record label that has become a haven for established and rising country artists hoping to carve an original path in the music industry, is celebrating their first anniversary in Music City.
In just a year since the label’s launch, they’ve accummulated an impressive and diverse roster, boasting Grammy & ACM award-winning country icon Joe Diffie, rock and blues influenced singer-songwriter Melissa Mickelson, passionate Nashville-based lyricist Zack Dyer, up-and-coming Chicagoan songstress Ali Morgan, and country/EDM crossover groundbreaker HISH, who will debut a new project at the Stagecoach Music Festival in April.
Already making an impact in the local music scene, the label recently launched a new audio serires project, the Silverado Signature Songwriter Series, designed to highlight the “immense and diverse songwriting culture prevelant in Nashville and country music as a whole.” Dyer served as its innaugural featured artist, with several more volumes to follow.
The series comes off of a successful first holiday album release, A Silverado Family Christmas, featuring Diffie, Mickelson and Dyer with close friends of the label including Crystal Yates, Mandy McMillan, Tony Winkler and Gabe Burdulis.
“Our team has worked hard this past year putting together the recipe for an incredible second year,” said Silverado Records CEO Scott Thomas. “We’re very excited about the pipeline of music we have coming and some amazing news that’s just around the corner.”
Thomas is a serial entrepreneur and entertainment industry veteran, who is also the CEO of Silverado’s parent company, Exegan Music Group, which owns or controls more than a dozen other record label catalogs.
Thomas is joined on the Silverado Records team by accomplished industry professionals with storied careers at landmark labels and organizations. A&R Director Aaron Chesling formerly served as Logistics Coordinator for Big Machine Records and Heather Cramsie serves as the Director of Marketing after a successful run as the Director of Southeast Promotion at Sidewalk Records. Social Media Director Tim Stewart hails from Las Vegas where he did freelance social media seminars for tech startups in Silicon Valley, now working out of the Exegan Music headquarters.
