Southern country rockers Jägertownare telling the stories of their songs through new LithoLyric™. In line with their story-based writing style, the band felt that each song off their brand-new EP, Rearview has a unique story to tell.
The first LithoLyric™ rollout was Rearview, which is their current single that hit country radio airwaves last week. Not only did this song chart in the debut week, but it also became the #1 most added song on the Music Row charts alongside Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Brett Young, Dierks Bentley and Jillian Jacqueline.
By enlisting the expertise of illustrator and graphic novelist Dan Dreier, the band has turned their songs into art. “We wanted to restore the love of music and art,” says front man Preston Creed. Each song on the new EP is made into a different piece of limited artwork, with the lyrics printed on the back and personally signed. Rearview and Numb are two that are currently available. Fans can choose from various sizes — the largest of which being numbered and framed — and can be purchased at concerts as well as online at http://www.litholyrics.com/.
Since their beginning, Jägertown has captivated audiences with their high energy and heartfelt performances, earning them a loyal fan base. They have never followed a set formula, and always brought unique perspectives to the country music scene. To them, LithoLyric™ were an exciting project to take on, giving their music a new medium to tackle and going further in telling the story behind each song. Selected media outlets and radio stations had the opportunity to receive their very own LithoLyric™ during Country Radio Seminar (CRS) in Nashville earlier this month.
“What the fans want is to feel close to an artist. What the music industry lacks in a business sense is a way to make that happen. In a high tech digital world, it’s easy to forget that humans just want something they can physically hold onto that tells a story or brings back a memory. Jagertown’s LithoLyric™ project is a perfect and personal way to put something unique in the hands of the Fans with its stunning visual art and handwritten musical notes. We must be careful not to lose that kind of rare talent or else we really start to lose the purpose of music which is really just about connecting people and telling stories. It’s surely more memorable than a koozie or shot glass—that’s for sure!”
– Lindsey Sipe, The Country Note
“I was very impressed to get one of these limited edition prints with the lyrics at CRS. It takes me back to the good ole days of vinyl covers, I will frame it and hang it in my office with pride.”
– Lee Williams, CMR Nashville
“There are very few artists today who carry on traditions started by legends in country music. Jagertown has found a way to keep these going by ensuring they give fans new and unique ways to experience their music. The LithoLyric™ they have designed with the new album give you an opportunity to own a piece of music history, leaving you wanting to have each new one as soon as it becomes available.”
