QUEUES UP “AMERICAN COUNTRY LOVE SONG”
AND “DOWN TO THE HONKYTONK” FOR THE PATRIOTIC SPECIAL
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Celebrating the Fourth of July live from our nation’s capital, platinum-certified entertainer Jake Owen will bring a double dose of country originals to PBS’ A Capitol Fourth this Monday, July 4 starting at 8:00pm ET / 7:00pm CT (check your local listings).
Accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra, the nine-time chart-topper will perform catalog standouts “American Country Love Song” and “Down To The Honkytonk” to help ring in America’s birthday.
“I can’t wait to celebrate the Fourth in D.C. this year,” Owen shares. “It’s exciting to be a part of a great American tradition, and to sing a couple songs while I’m at it. See you on Monday night!”
A Capitol Fourth is America’s longest-running live national Independence Day TV tradition and can be heard in stereo over NPR member stations nationwide. The special will also be streaming on YouTube and at www.pbs.org/a-capitol-fourth.
On tap, Owen continues down the road on his headlining Up There Down Here Tour all summer long, as current single “Best Thing Since Backroads” cruises through country radio’s Top 10.
